Our Commitment

Pixels & Priorities is committed to making our website and podcast content accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.

We are continually working to improve the usability and accessibility of our website so visitors can explore episodes, read articles and transcripts, subscribe to updates, and access other content in ways that meet their individual needs.

Accessibility Standards

We aim to improve the website in alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Accessibility is an ongoing process, particularly as our website, podcast archive, publishing tools, and third-party services continue to evolve. While we cannot guarantee that every page or feature is free from accessibility barriers, we are committed to identifying and addressing issues when they arise.

What We Are Doing

As part of our accessibility efforts, we aim to:

  • Organize pages with clear headings and a logical reading order
  • Use descriptive link text instead of vague phrases such as “click here”
  • Add alternative text to meaningful images
  • Maintain readable text sizes and sufficient color contrast
  • Support keyboard navigation where permitted by our website theme and publishing platform
  • Avoid communicating important information through color alone
  • Use clear labels and instructions for forms
  • Allow visitors to enlarge website content using browser zoom
  • Write content in clear, understandable language
  • Review new pages and content for common accessibility barriers

Our website is created and managed using Ghost. Some aspects of accessibility depend on the capabilities of our Ghost theme, embedded content, and third-party services.

Podcast Audio, Transcripts, and Media

Pixels & Priorities is primarily an audio publication. Each episode page includes a written description or article that introduces the episode and summarizes its major topics.

Some podcast and video platforms may provide automatically generated transcripts or captions for our episodes. Depending on the platform, device, language, and episode, listeners may be able to read along, search the transcript, or navigate to a specific part of the conversation.

These transcripts and captions are generated and managed by third-party platforms. Pixels & Priorities does not currently publish full episode transcripts on this website and cannot guarantee the availability, accuracy, timing, or accessibility of transcripts provided by external services. Automatically generated transcripts may contain errors involving names, specialized terminology, accents, or overlapping speakers.

Where practical, we provide links to our episodes on multiple listening platforms so visitors can choose the service and accessibility features that work best for them.

If you have difficulty accessing an episode or need help locating an available transcript or captioned version, please contact us at pixelsandpriorities@outlook.com.

Third-Party Content

Our website may include embedded audio, video, or other content provided by third-party platforms, such as podcast players, video services, newsletter tools, or social media platforms.

We do not control the accessibility of these third-party services. Their accessibility features and limitations may change independently of our website.

Where practical, we provide alternatives such as:

  • Episode summaries
  • Direct links to podcast platforms
  • Links to the original third-party content
  • Assistance locating an alternative format

External websites linked from Pixels & Priorities are responsible for their own accessibility practices.

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some visitors may encounter accessibility limitations, including:

  • Features within embedded podcast or video players
  • Older content that has not yet been fully reviewed
  • Transcription inaccuracies
  • Third-party forms, membership tools, or account features
  • Theme components that we cannot directly modify
  • Documents or graphics that may not yet have accessible alternatives

We are working to improve these areas as our website and content library grow.

Accessibility Feedback and Assistance

We welcome feedback about the accessibility of the Pixels & Priorities website.

Please contact us if you:

  • Encounter an accessibility barrier
  • Cannot use a form, navigation feature, or embedded media player
  • Need podcast content in a different format

Ongoing Improvement

Accessibility is part of our ongoing website and publishing process. We may review the site through content checks, keyboard testing, automated tools, manual evaluation, and feedback from visitors.

We will update this statement as our accessibility practices, website features, or available services change.
